Application of the Magnetic Memory Technology in Hydrogen-Induced Cracking Test

    • The detection faces of specimens after corrosion test are clearly defined in hydrogen-induced cracking test. But there are doubts about that whether the cracks present in the detected faces. The lack of the evaluation system of the hydrogen-induced cracking test methods were discussed.Exposed test specimens were detected by using metal magnetic memory detector. Each test specimen was sectioned for examination in the magnetic signal abnormal parts. The results show that more cracks are detected by using magnetic memory technology, the resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking of materials can be evaluated more objective.
